New York City - E-magine launched its new multimedia digital portfolio software, ProView‚Ñ¢, at MacWorld '95 in Boston, MA.
ProView allows novice to experienced computer users to create professional ProViewer‚Ñ¢ applications that display and distribute digital graphics and video. Featuring a push button interface, ProView requires no programming. Finished ProViewer applications may be created in less than thirty minutes from display-ready digital media.
ProView's interface is designed for easy use while maximizing the user's creative freedom.
To use, boot up ProView and click on the toolbar to import pictures, movies and sounds to a new page. Move the media to fit the design; then press a button to add a new page. ProView automatically updates the Contents Menu. Create hot spots, that may be clicked like buttons, to link pages together or to play a sound.
When the project is complete, the user can transform it into a ProViewer with one command. The ProViewer is a stand-alone application that may be given out and viewed on any other Macintosh computer with no additional software.
ProView has many industrial, commercial and personal uses. Traditional print and video media is transformed by ProView into modern digital media applications. By creating ProViewer applications, distribution of visual information is possible via disc or internet. ProView facilitates the use of new technologies such as Photo CD by giving users new options to show off their images.
